I agree that this application only qualifies me as a recognised leader of The Boys' Brigade for the duration specified only.,and will make no claims of endorsement beyond what is specified. l agree to complete and carry out any necessary screening, training (including relevant child protection policies) and duties required by The Boys‘ Brigade Australia, and understand by not completing any of the required processes will result in my ineligibility to be recognised as and involved in any leadership role with the specified event or role.

I have read and understood the BBA Child Protection Policy & BBA Code of Conduct for Leaders and I hereby agree to abide by them. I agree to complete any further initial and ongoing requirements of a volunteer leader in The Boys’ Brigade Australia, in accordance with its principles, values and policies as well as having the necessary competencies and expertise for the specific role I have undertaken.

I understand that legally to work with children, I must have a current State/Territory issued Working With Children’s Check or Police Records Check and must cease working with children immediately upon its expiry. These checks ensure I have no convictions, Apprehended Violence Orders, or completed disciplinary proceedings relating to violence, sexual assault, acts of indecency, child pornography, grooming, drug trafficking (in commercial quantities) or any crime against a minor.

I understand that, should I fail at any time to meet my commitments, as set out in BBA Code of Conduct, or have convictions in areas specified by BBA Child Protection Policy or their guidelines, or State/Territory legislation prohibiting working with children, I may have to withdraw from leadership roles within The Boys’ Brigade Australia and notify all relevant representatives within seven (7) days.

I certify that all information provided in this form is accurate and understand that, if I have provided false and misleading information, it may affect my eligibility to be a leader within The Boys’ Brigade Australia. I agree to inform my State/Territory administration up to fourteen (14) years later, if any details specified in this form change, or am accused or subsequently convicted of offences that may affect my approval as a leader within The Boys’ Brigade Australia.
