Food and Drink

There will be a canteen operating where chocolates and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day.

Safety and Responsibility

  • During the race all team members should wear long sleeves (eg. shirt, pullover etc) together with long trousers and sound shoes or boots (no thongs) during the race to minimise the possibility of abrasions etc. (elbow and knee pads would be a preferable addition)
  • A crash helmet MUST be worn by each member of the team.
  • All competitors enter at their own risk, although reasonable care and control will be undertaken by the organisers.
  • To complete a race at least one pusher must be in contact with the cart as the front of the cart crosses the finishing line, and must remain in contact with the cart until the rear of the cart has crossed the line.

The Programme

  • The programme is based on running 3 events simultaneously, split into 3 age groups.  Depending on no. of boys in each age group, these may be altered slightly on the day.
  • Perpetual trophies will be awarded to Anchor/Junior Section & Senior Section separately, with ribbons for individual events.
  • Participants may only be part of an older age-group if there is otherwise not enough to field a team
  • Each soapbox class event (drag and obstacle) requires a driver and one pusher.  Each open class event (circuit, pitstop & pursuit) requires a driver and two pushers
  • Open Class events will be running concurrently for 2 ages at anytime, therefore if a company is planning in competing in all age groups, they will need to bring 2 open class carts
  • For companies that do not have a cart, there will be a number of soap box carts available on the day to share amongst companies, but it is recommended that each company bring their own open class carts
